What’s up everyone!!! It’s been a while since I’ve made a post and for that I apologize. I had a few things that I needed to handle that took up a lot of my time that have since been resolved, and I am getting back into the swing of things now…ANYWAYS………

As I am sure all of you are aware by now the 3G iPhone is launching on July 11th and I am sure that there will be a lot of people dumping there Gen 1 iPhone’s for the 3G.

I am hearing a lot of things now that I wanted to bring to your attention just in case you weren’t aware. I am hearing these all over the net and from other reliable sources, but as you know until the phone actually drops these could quite possibly be rumors and even if the are not they are obviously subject to change before the final launch.

1. The new iPhone’s will have GPS, but word on the net is that Apple’s SDK agreement prohibits the development of any turn-by-turn software for use on the iPhone.
2. The data plan for 3G will be $10 more expensive and will no longer include a bundle of text messages meaning you will have to add the data plan and a messaging plan.

For the die hard iPhone fans (and I know there are a ton of you) these will by no means stop you from rushing out and getting the new 3G iPhone.

Here is a quick breakdown of the pro’s and cons as I see them so far:

Pro’s:

1. Faster
2. Thinner
3. HALF THE PRICE
4. GPS
5. More storage capacity
6. Two colors to choose from on the 16GB model
7. MobileMe Push email, calendar, etc. (will be an extra monthly charge)

Con’s:

1. As of yet Apple SDK agreement prohibits software developers from developing turn-by-turn GPS programs for the iPhone.
2. Rate plans are a little more expensive.
