Welcome to the mod shop! This is for all you n2o users! Spotlight: Holley

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Ok, well while surfing around at products for today I came across something I dont think a whole lot of people know about yet, its from a very reputable name, you may know it?

Holley is a great company whom has been providing racers with great products since 1903, one of their well known lines

is probably the most used N2O kit out there in the world of racing. Nitrous Oxide is pretty much horsepower in a bottle if you have been in the dark or in the dark under a rock. Each Nitrous kit wether is be from holley, or from ZEX or Nitrous Express(NX), Venom etc etc, they come with these little valves that are changeable. These are called the nitrous “pill”, by changing the pill it delivers different amounts of horsepower to your vehicle. This burst of energy is called a “shot” of nitrous, cars with minimal modification should use nothing higher then a 30 shot, then there are track cars that use 200-250 shot which is insane, but hey they can handle the power. One thing that n2o users have always been trying to figure out is how to configure how the spray effects the vehicle as far as reaction, I mean to much and you will spin your tires into the trash, not enough and you will lose precious time in the 1/4 mile. Holley has done it again by revolutionizing how we manage our spray, no more switches and valves to try to get this all squared away.

Introducing:

Instead of me going into a field day about everything this beast does, here is some information about it right from the source!

“It combines all the functions a nitrous racer could ever want into a single, easy–to–use controller. This handy device can be programmed to independently control up to 4 stages of nitrous from a laptop computer or via an available full color 3.5” LCD touch–screen. Easy to use graphical software makes the Launcher a breeze to program. The launcher is available in 3 basic configurations. It is available as the launcher controller only; the Launcher controller with 3.5” color LCD touch–screen (Includes stylus and mini SD card for data–logging); or the Launcher controller with the handheld tuner for data–logging and quick changes in the staging lanes. ”

To get all the technical information on it please go HERE. On there you will see a dealer locater on there so you can go and pick yours up today!

Oh and dont forget to try their 1st Energy Drink!

I’m picky when it comes to drinking these things, and this one is goooooood!

Thanks for coming by everyone!! See ya Monday in the automotive corner!!

Welcome To An Early Bird Automotive Corner!

Ok so before I go to bed this morning(I work 3rd shift) I was browsing around some blogs when I stumbled upon something amazing thats going to debut at SEMA this year!

What do you get when you combine a 2008 F-350 Super Duty with a shelby GT500KR?

You Get Performance West Group’s F-350 “Striker”!

This is a concept drawing of it for now…

This is badass on every level right here!! As you can see its the standard F350(that comes with a 6.4L Powerstroke Diesel) thrown in a blender with the body and paint schemes of the shelby.

The Striker is still being built. PWG says it will be painted “Striker Silver” with “Badass Blue” racing stripes running the length of the truck, from the leading edge of the front air dam to the bottom of the rear bumper cover. Hulst Customs is fabricating and installing the Striker’s custom bodywork as well.

See the rims in that drawing? Those are portrayed as 24-inch lightweight American Force forged dually wheels, mounted with low-profile Pirelli tires designed for a different kind of hauling than what Ford Super Duty’s are used to. Hauling ASS!!

Diesel guru Gale Banks is working hard to come up with ways to tweak the 350-horsepower and 650 pounds-feet of torque PowerStroke engine for optimal street performance and power.

Inside, Katzkin Leather will match the silver and blue exterior colors with custom leather surfaces and seats, equipped with four-point racing harnesses. Katzkin is the leading custom leather seat cover company for most applications, I would recommend them to anyone! The interior will also include matching floor coverings, aluminum racing pedals and auxiliary gauges and Sony is supplying the Striker’s A/V Entertainment system.

The Striker will debut this November in Las Vegas at the annual SEMA show, the largest gathering of aftermarket parts and accessories companies in the world and I cannot wait to see actual photo’s of this beast!!!!

Flytoyz fans, if any of you attend SEMA, send us your photo’s and we will post em up for you as event coverage!!

Well thats all I have for now! I seen this and was blown away, this thing will be a beast!!

Thanks for coming by! I hope you have a great monday! Ill see ya thursday on the Mod shop!!
